Large-diameter welded pipes generally use the double-sided submerged arc welding process, which can be divided into large-diameter straight seam welded pipes (#LSAW) and large-diameter spiral welded pipes (#SSAW) according to their weld seams. Among them, straight seam steel pipes can be divided into UOE, RBE, JCOE steel pipes, etc. according to the different forming methods. The production process of large diameter longitudinal welded pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, and the cost is low. The strength of large-diameter spiral welded pipes is generally higher than that of straight seam welded pipes, and narrower billets can be used to produce welded pipes with larger diameters. It is also possible to use blanks of the same width to produce welded pipes and shelf pipes with different diameters, but the production efficiency is lower than that of straight seam steel pipes. Large-diameter welded pipes are mainly used in large-scale pipeline projects, water and gas transmission projects, urban pipe network construction, municipal engineering, water supply and drainage projects, large-scale building steel structures, pile foundations, etc. The main detection method for large-diameter welded pipes is mainly flaw detection. The combination of machine welding and manual welding is adopted.
